Can I vote if my California ID is expired?

I don't have a DL and my ID recently expired. I don't really feel like spending $23 and 2 hours at the DMV to renew it this week. Can I vote with an expired CA ID? I don't have a passport either. Is there something else I should bring such as birth certificate, social security card, utility bill, bank statement? If so, which ones?Can I vote if my California ID is expired?
Your elections office will advise what other ID will be sufficient to enable you to cast your vote.



By the way: People are standing in line for ten hours in Atlanta, Georgia in order to vote. Are you sure you can't give up a couple of hours?
Check with your voting office. Here is Arizona the ballot says you can bring one of driver's license, state ID, tribal enrollment card, government issues ID (passport) or two of the following: Utility bill within 90 days of today's date, bank statement, vehicle registration, Indian census card, property tax statement, vehicle insurance card, tribal enrollment card, recorder's certificate or government issued document such as voters registration card. They must be current address and within 90 days.

You will have to call your official election department. I should think that a birth certificate and some kind of picture ID even if expired should be able to get you to vote. But if all else fails, get on the phone with ACORN. - jk.
I just think they need your ID for identification purposes so the expiration shouldn't matter. I however wouldn't risk it and would just go to the DMV and get a new ID.Can I vote if my California ID is expired?
if you dont have a voter registration card forget it.
you need a government issued photo ID. Drivers license ,passport, military id etc
You need a picture ID.
