What is the difference between a national ID and a state isshed ID card?

Why are people so against a national ID saying it violates their right to privacy yet they stand in line for hours at the DMV to get a drivers license which is a state issued ID? Do people really believe computers do not communicate over state lines therefor a state ID is safer? I really am confused on this issue... The feds know which people live where whats wrong with putting it on a card and eliminating all the state ID's?What is the difference between a national ID and a state isshed ID card?
The people that are against Picture IDs, both state and federal, are afraid the bloc that votes for whoever their handlers tell them will not be able to sell their votes as easily. These are generally elderly welfare minorities and those that cannot read well enough to understand the issues.

Examining the demographics or the areas effected by this situation will reveal that it exists mainly in the southeastern states where minorities constitute a substantial percentage of the voting population. What is the difference between a national ID and a state isshed ID card?
The STATE ID

is tied to your states database and that's as far as it goes unless

data is specifically called for by law enforcement.

However the National ID

The data base is held by the Federal Bureaucracy and that is a federal power grab! They don't need it, and the INFORMATION is already available if there is an investigation of some crime and law enforcement has probable cause. What is the difference between a national ID and a state isshed ID card?
Why not implanted chips that kill you if you try to have them removed?

That would solve all the problems.
