Why doesn't the DMV change their identification procedures?

I am notorious for losing my picture id's and licenses' after many hours sitting at DMVs across the country, i decided that it would be quicker, easier and cheaper for the DMV to request a thumb print..and thats all, hell i can forge papers, but not my thumbprint.

why don't they change their policy.|||If it works, don't fix it. Do you have any idea how many millions of driver's licenses would have to be changed just because you can't seem to keep track of your ID cards?

The world DOES NOT revolve around you.|||Most states actually used to USE thumbprints. But, if you were cashing someones check would you really be able to compare the tumbprint on the license to their thumb?

Forging thumbprints on a document is a simple thing to do.. a lot easier then forging photos...
