and do i need anything when i schedule it? whether its over the phone or in person, should i have things like a birth certificate or social security card handy?

heeellllllppp!

please and thankyou (:|||In most states, after you pass your written test, they mail you a "drivers permit" which permits you to drive while another driver is in the car. You can get your drivers license in the mail [which permits you to drive by yourself] by passing the infamous road test. You need to schedule a road test on your state's DMV website. You usually need a certain amount of driving hours before you get to schedule a road test...

They don't provide you with 6 hours behind the wheel though. You must find a person who is 21 or over and holds a valid drivers license and has access to a car. Then you can drive while they sit in the side seat for an hour over a six day period. They can sign a release saying that you have six hours of driving experience.

Alternatively, there are agencies that offer driving lessons.|||yeah, it's pretty obvious you don't know what you're doing.....

trying posting in the right category for starters|||The AIRCRAFT forum isn't the best place to ask about an automobile drivers permit.
